  4. Virginia, Texas, and Tennessee-- the artists in each state influenced me dramatically, and from a plethora of different styles.

  5. What is the single most important event to influence your songwriting...
  6. Reading the words of my favorite poet, Billy Collins, in a collection of his works entitled "Sailing Alone Around A Room" for the first time. It was conversational, but it was not without form. I loved it, and a light was switched on inside of my head from that time going forward.

  7. What is on the horizon for your career...
  8. A new album, "An Audio Guide To Cross Country Travel," which is set for a fall release.

  12. The Cabaret in Bandera (may it rest in peace), these days, Floore's Country Store in Helotes.

  13. What is your favorite thing about being on the road...
  14. I get excited when I drive down a road that I had not yet previously traversed. Other than that, new people, new places, good pizza, historical places, and microbreweries.
