I'm a singer-songwriter & recording artist, originally from Arizona, now living in Austin, Texas. My solo debut "Call Me Lonesome" was released in 2005, and the follow up "Here With You Tonight" came out in 2006. My third solo disc, "West Texas Wine" arrived in March 2008. Previously I produced some records for my former bands "Trophy Husbands," "Nitpickers," "Chaingang," and "Politics or Pontiacs." I've enjoyed a lot of nice attention from fans and critics since the release of my solo albums, and I've toured all over the country making club & festival appearances. "Call Me Lonesome" reached 19 on the Americana Chart and was one of Third Coast Music's "Top 10 debut albums" of 2005. "Here With You Tonight" debuted at number 1 on the Freeform American Roots (FAR) chart and met an enthusiastic response from fans. I'm very grateful that my records enjoy airplay on radio stations across the country, and that people enjoy coming out to see us play. Thanks to all my supporters! In my spare time, I like to climb mountains. When I was younger, I did several "first ascents," including the North Face of Toothrock (Marble Canyon, AZ) and West Face of Tower Butte (Glen Canyon National Park). Nowadays I only do easy climbs, and I play a lot of music. Thanks for dropping by my site! Cheers, and take care, Dave

Click here to read 2bEntertainment's exclusive interview with Drew Kennedy
A college student with an adumbrating habit of American roots music exploration, Drew Kennedy began his musical immersion while attending Hamden-Sydney College in Virginia. The Pennsylvania native eagerly studied albums by innovators including Guy Clark, Steve Earle and Gram Parsons, along with Dave Matthews, Ryan Adams and Ben Folds. 2003 found Kennedy offering his first batch of original songs for public consumption: Hillbilly Pilgrim introduced a bright songwriter with undeniable potential. taking bold chances and effectually conveying loneliness or jubilation. Kennedy longed for musical fellowship, and in 2004, he moved to Texas to join the state's flourishing artistic community. His maturation as a writer accelerated, seasoned by experience and invigorated by his new peers.

Fireants is leading the trend of young upstart bands. Unlike most of their High School peers who tend to take to Alternative Rock, Fireants members find their inspiration in roots, folk, Americana and bluegrass music. Which isn’t to say they’re wed to rigid classic forms; one of the quintet describes the combo’s music as “roots rock/gypsy/throwback/bluegrass/eclectic electric.” And their peers and beyond are subscribing to their modern-classic style in droves.

Honeybrowne has made its mark on the Texas music scene and beyond by going song by song, gig by gig, album by album and Mile By Mile, as the title of the band's latest CD declares. Singer, songwriter and group leader Fred Andrews and his musical compadres come by their sound and success honestly, drawing from a rich palette of inspirations and then going out and road-testing the music they create to ensure that it makes a genuine connection with music-loving listeners.

True to its title, The Twilight Zone represents a turning point of sorts for Jason Allen. It's his first studio album for Smith Music, the label, run by his friend Frank Jackson, that released 2006's Live at Gruene Hall, and he wrote all but two of the songs. "This record is a good reflection of who I am as an artist/songwriter," he says. "The others [2003's Something I Dreamed and 2005's Wouldn't It Be Nice] were too, but this one is digging a little deeper."

Twilight Zone marks Allen's first time as co-producer; he and partner Tommy Detamore cut the album in three weeks at Detamore's Cherry Ridge Studio outside Flooresville, "down a long dirt road in the woods, just like I like it," Allen says. "Although we did have a squirrel try to get in on the record - I'm not sure if he made it or not."

"Texas music, country music folk music and rock -- it is all American music, and speaks to life in America and beyond, wherther you live in Austin or New England or Alaska," says Grieder. Even though he thinks describing the band's sound is like dancing about architecture, Josh suggests that "Everyone knows who Merle Haggard is, everybody knows who Dave Matthews is, so if you say we meet in the middle, that's kinda of what's going on. It's got the boogie in it."

Kyle Park is first and foremost a brilliant songwriter... Park's tunes are universally melodic with bold, yet personal lyrics. Hard working men and country women can easily identify with his songs. - CountryChart.com

The Loose Wheels is a new young rock and roll band made up of an 8th grader, 3 7th graders, and a 5th grader. But don't let their ages fool you. They play classic rock and roll songs that will include "Old Time Rock & Roll," "The House is Rockin'," "Down On The Corner," "Oye Como Va," "Southbound," "What'd I Say," "Feelin' Alright," "Seven Bridges Road," "Mustang Sally," and others. They also have an original tune called "Get Up." They are performing the songs as recorded by the original artists with full instrumentation and all vocal harmony parts (yes, all 5 parts on Seven Bridges Road).
